When you need a functional pickup truck, but don’t want a lot of bulk, the mid-sized 2024 Honda Ridgeline is tough to beat. Design
Every Ridgeline has a four-door crew cab attached to a five-foot bed. Even the base model has rear-seat heater ducts plus a tri-zone climate control system that includes humidity control and air filtration, so everyone can be comfortable. Active Noise Cancellation keeps the cabin quiet on the road. The back seat lifts up for a significant amount of additional storage and the truck bed has a lockable trunk. Illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls and a dual-action tailgate are also standard.
Performance
All 2024 Ridgeline trims are all-wheel drive with a 3.7-liter V6 engine that provides 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It’s matched to a 9-speed automatic transmission with shift-by-wire, paddle shifters, and a heavy-duty transmission cooler. The Intelligent Traction Management system has four modes: Normal, Snow, Sand, and Mud.
Remote Engine Start, Hill Start Assist, a Class III trailer hitch, and seven-pin connector are also all standard. With the proper equipment in place, the 2024 Ridgeline is capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds.
Technology
A 7-speaker audio system with speed-sensitive volume control is standard on the base model Sport trim. The infotainment system features a 9-inch color touchscreen with streaming audio and hands-free calling via Bluetooth, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The free HondaLink app offers complementary basic features such as vehicle and recall notifications, roadside assistance, vehicle health reports, and more.
One 2.5 amp USB-A data port and one 3.0-amp USB-C charging port are located on the front console. A Qi-compatible wireless phone charger is also standard.
