The 2025 Honda Civic can be had with either the traditional gas engine or an eco-friendly hybrid powertrain. Both options are available at our local Honda dealership, so let’s see which one suits your lifestyle better.

Powertrains and Fuel Economy
The traditional Civic sedan comes with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that makes 150 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a CVT, this powertrain makes the Civic fun to drive and provides plenty of power for highway passes. This Civic achieves 36 mpg on average, with 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. It comes with ECON and Normal drive modes, with Sport mode available if you want a little extra thrill.
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid brings better fuel economy to the lineup with a two-motor hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.0L four-cylinder engine. This powertrain nets 200 horsepower, offering more pep on the open road. It’s rated for 50 mpg around town, 47 mpg on the highway, and 49 mpg combined, meaning more savings at the pump. ECON, Normal, and Sport drive modes come standard, and the available Individual mode lets you personalize the drive even more.
Interior and Comfort
Both Civics are roomy and comfortable inside, with adult-friendly legroom in both rows. The Civic Sedan starts with cloth seats, but you can get combination seats on the Sport model. It also includes automatic climate control, push-button start, and available niceties such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sport pedals, and a rear center armrest with cupholders.
The Civic Hybrid steps up the comfort with standard dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. Leather seats, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and a 4-way power passenger seat are all available on the Sport Touring Hybrid model. This trim also includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror that protects you from the glare of headlights behind you at night.
Audio and Connectivity
A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes standard on both variants. It features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to stream content, get directions, and use your messaging apps on the display. You can also use Bluetooth to make calls hands-free or play audio through the car’s audio speakers. The Civic’s stereo includes four speakers in the LX and eight in the Sport and Sport Hybrid trims.
The top-spec Sport Touring Hybrid trim upgrades to a 9-inch touchscreen unit with wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With Google Built-in, you can access Google apps and even download your favorite apps directly into the car’s system. You’ll also get a Wi-Fi hotspot, Alexa Built-in, and exclusive upgrades like a 10.2-inch instrument panel and a Bose Premium sound system with 12 speakers.
